We thrive to achieve a world class music production quality from all selected participants for this event. The Cultural Team comprises of members who have a keen interest in world music. We want to have music of different genres and languages and this team will select the Bands and performers based on samples submitted on this website.

Sandeep Khurana

Sandeep Khurana joins us as a volunteer member of the cultural team. Sandeep is a Film Maker, Music Composer and Producer living in California. He has composed more than 50 music albums in the genres of New Age Music, Neo Classical, Film, Dance and World Music.

Sandeep Khurana’s signature sounds are New Age, Ethereal, Meditative, and Mystical. The resonant and lilting sounds he paints, the musical landscapes he creates, owe their existence, to his endless years of experience in healing and spirituality, combined with his distinctive skill in music.  He has produced short films and documentaries including the recently released Yoga Lifestyle New Age” which is a video series on various alternative healing techniques e.g. Reiki, Pranayama, Chakras, Mantras, and Meditation. The videos series has been aired on Comcast and AT&T channels in the US and also featured in festivals.  His music released under the label of SK Infinity World Media, a company that he launched in 2007 for film and music production, is aired on several radio channels and has received accolades and appreciation from listeners all over the world.

Newspapers and magazines in the US including Indian Express USA, India West, India Currents, India Post, Seattle South Asian, Austin South Asian, Boston South Asian, in the UK (Positive Health Magazine), and Canada (Starbuzz Weekly) have published features on  his extensive work in music. He has also published several articles on Music, Yoga, Sound Healing, Mudra Yoga and other Yogic techniques.

His music is a unique blend of Eastern and Western sounds, including acoustic as well as electronic music.

Manidipa Bhattacharya

Manidipa was born into a musical family with a long tradition of classical music. She was honored with First Class First diploma in music, from Surangama Music school of Sri Shailajaranjan Majumder. She underwent many years of rigorous training under the guidance of Sri Subinoy Roy and Smt. Maya Sen. She is also received a diploma with disntinction in Indian Classical music. For a while, she was also, a disciple of Ustad Ali Akhbar Khan

Manidipa was honored with Plaque of Honor from Ustad Vilayat Khan in Maryland University, USA for Rabindra Sangeet. She also received a prestigious Uttamkumar award for Rabindra Sangeet in Calcutta.

Manidipa had been performing Rabindrasangeet for the All India Radio, Calcutta, and Doordarshan Kendra, Calcutta. She was invited in BigFM Calcutta talk show to talk and perform various genre of songs, starting Rabindrasangeet to classical to Bengali light music to Hindi pops. She was invitee in New York Indian Radio talk show, to sing and talk about Bengali songs.

Manidipa performed and organized various programs inCalcuttaAtlantaNew JerseyHoustonLas Angeles,MarylandNew Orleans and San Francisco Bay Area. Critics, including The TelegraphThe Statesman,Anandabazar PatrikaBartaman and Desh, appreciated her Rabindrasangeet performance. She has also excelled inSemi-Classical and Modern Hindi and Bengali Songs. Her three CDs are well appreciated by several musicians in Calcutta.

She is a Chemical Engineer and by profession, she currently works in software field in San Francisco Bay Area. But her professions never hold back her dedication towards music. She relentlessly performs and organizes musical events. She also started not-for-profit “Musical Evening” group(www.musicalevening.com) to organize music and performing art events in Bay Area to raise money for charity. She is loved and respected by many music lovers all over.

Dr. Kerry Kriger

Kerry Kriger has been playing the bansuri (bamboo flute) since 1996 and has studied the classical music of northern India with the legendary flute master Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao since 1999. He has performed in the USA, Argentina, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand and has recorded several albums. Kerry regularly gives flute lessons, and has created a website devoted to the bansuri (www.indianflutemusic.com). Kerry is also quite adept at the darabuka, a hand drum from the Middle East. Kerry holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and is the Founder & Executive Director of SAVE THE FROGS (www.savethefrogs.com), a nonprofit organization dedicated to amphibian conservation.
